The Tricky Magician

Posted in Uncategorized by thill15 on Wednesday February 27 2008

I’ve always been intrigued by magic. One time at a friends birthday part, there was a magician. He performed many tricks, many of which I cant even remember but one in particular has stayed with me since that day. The magician told my friend Chad to sit on a table. Chad assisted with some tricks and then eventually was told to lie down. He did so- the magician then somehow with some eye boggling display made my friend float. What a sight, my friend was floating, or to the naked eye he was. To this day I am still amazed.

The Heat Struck Attic

Posted in Uncategorized by thill15 on Tuesday February 26 2008

I remember my time spent in the heat stricken attic installing duct work for an air conditioning unit. As midday approached the tiny attic became worse and worse until finally it became unbearable to work in. Our teacher didn’t care; we were installing this unit for the house that was being built by our school. We were there to gain experience- to know what it would be like every day in the real word installing AC units. It was ridiculous! My friends and I put up the duct work as sweat poured off our heads and dripped onto others below.

Practice

To me practice is the opportunity to master or sharpen a skill. Most of the four years I was at high school- practicing was one of the most important things I had to do during the day. I would classify myself as a jock. All I did was practice, whether it was going out with the team for a couple mile jog, or even going out onto the baseball diamond and picking up ground balls. Practice was the time the team spent learning to play as a unit and it’s where we learned to succeed or fail. Practice, practice, practice!!!

Blabbings from Tyler

Honestly this picture is pretty boring to me. There isn’t anything in the picture that makes it interesting or even appealing to look at. I see two people, a bridge, a city skyline, and the clear sky. The skyline sort of kind of reminds me of when I went to New York City, going over the bridge to get there that is kind of the view that I got. The rocks look very sharp and jagged. I don’t think it is very safe for that man to be standing on there. He looks kind of like a Mormon or something?

The Grand March

Posted in Uncategorized by thill15 on Thursday February 21 2008

Strangely enough this picture of little children dressed in what seem to be costumes for some sort of medieval play make me remember the day of my girl friends pre-prom “show off”.  It was appropriately titled the Grand March. Basically we formed two major lines and marched around the auditorium so all the parents could see everyone in their tuxes and gowns. This still shot reminded me of how everyone stood there waiting for the next person in line to continue to move farther. We walked around the auditorium twice, it took thirty minutes but it felt like three hours.

Cotton Candy and Candy Apples

Posted in Uncategorized by thill15 on Wednesday February 20 2008

When I look at this picture I am immediately brought to a fair. The cotton candy and candy apple signs remind me of the times when I used to beg to get some. The big bags of fluffy multicolored candy were what always attracted me. I loved cotton candy so much because it is the only candy that when you put it in your mouth it dissolves instantly. Candy apples also hold a place in my mind. The apples are caramelized and then candy pieces stick to the warm caramel. It brings such a delightful taste when you eat it.

The Golden Stairway

The golden trim and lights give off a great vibe. The empty station reminds me of the times when I would get up early and go to the train station to go into Boston. The escalator is empty and the picture as a whole is truly breathtaking. It’s amazing how this picture of an empty stairway can make people think of many different things. What intrigues me the most about this picture is the escalator to the right; it seems as if it is smooth. Where are the stairs like the ones you can see on the left set? Weird!

Play

Sitting in my living room rummaging through albums upon albums of photographs I see that I am always holding some sort of toy. These pictures brought back memories and times of when I used to sit and play for hours upon hours. Playing was the best part of my life, if I could, I would want to go back in time and be a kid again. I could be carefree and not have to worry about studying for exams, going to work, and I would be stress free without a care in the world. The good “Ole” days have gone.
